Clocks And Watches

Promotional clocks and watches are better than jewelries. Tough statement right? But I’m placing my bet on this.
The mindset nowadays is that the more expensive a gift is, the more valuable it is to the receiver. That’s the problem. The value (I’m using the word loosely here) of a gift does not equate to the level of importance a person puts into it. Because if this is the case, why are some promotional ladies watches even more valuable (or pricier) than some jewelry?
A lot of people really do not get the point in giving away such promotional materials. To them, these items are just additional clutters to their collections. But come to think of it, these products are worth more than the number of dollars used to buy them. Take promotional sports watches and stop watches for example. I bet these items are more often used unlike jewelries made of gold or platinum. People who are lucky enough to own them are so scared, that they don’t usually get the value for their money.
On the other hand, givers of gifts during birthdays also don’t see the point of using these items as gifts during birthdays. Most of them think that they would rather spend more on other jewelries so that they would get the respect and admiration of the receiver. To me though, buying things which are insanely expensive just to impress someone do not bring respect and admiration. It only goes to show that the giver is too dumb or just way too lazy to even think of what item to give. If you’re not used to thinking of a good gift, why not give cheap promotional napkins, right? At least you can get those a dozen a penny. If you give more of these napkins, say a gazillion boxes of it, amounting to thousands of dollars, would you think your friend will respect and admire you for that? I do not believe so.
